PM asks Japan for assistance in industrialisation, modernisation efforts

The Government leader called on Japan to assist Việt Nam in the building of an independent and self-reliant economy and the implementation of industrialisation and modernisation, while providing new-generation official development assistance (ODA) for large-scale strategic infrastructure projects such as road and railway ones in Việt Nam.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Bùi Thanh Sơn proposed accelerating and efficiently implementing new-generation ODA for Việt Nam's large-scale strategic infrastructure development projects. He also suggested that Japan support Vietnamese businesses in deepening their involvement in the global value chain with Japanese partners.

Việt Nam urges nuclear non-proliferation across three pillars

Ambassador Đặng Hoàng Giang, Permanent Representative of Việt Nam to the UN, has called for stepping up the implementation of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) across all three pillars, namely nuclear disarmament, nuclear non-proliferation, and the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
