The Deputy Minister called on the UNOG Director-General and relevant bodies of the UN to continue providing optimal conditions for Vietnamese officials, experts, and citizens to work at the agencies, and to assist Việt Nam, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and developing countries to increase multilateral diplomatic activities in Geneva.

Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính on Thursday (local time) met with Saudi Arabia's Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Al-Ibrahim and Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed Al-Rajhi in Riyadh, as part of his trip to attend the Association of Southeast Asian Nations - Gulf Cooperation Council (ASEAN - GCC) Summit and visit to Saudi Arabia.

Top leaders of the country - Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng, President Võ Văn Thưởng, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính and NA Chairman Huệ - all sent and presented bouquets of flowers to congratulate the force.

President Võ Văn Thưởng had a meeting with officials and staff members of Vietnamese representative agencies in China on Thursday as part of his trip to attend the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing.

Vietnamese, Lao leaders concurred to remove bottlenecks for important economic-trade-investment projects, and boost collaboration in the fields of science, innovation, digital economy and e-commerce, among others.

Việt Nam supports and is ready to join the international community’s common efforts to promote dialogue and provide humanitarian assistance to those living in conflict-affected areas, contributing to peace, security, and stability in the region and the world.

The PM is scheduled to attend and deliver a speech at the ASEAN-GCC Summit and hold bilateral meetings with heads of participating delegations.

President Thưởng said with high commitment to substantial investment, numerous programmes and projects, and specific actions, the Belt and Road initiative has become a major international cooperation mechanism with significant contributions to infrastructure connectivity, global economic integration, an all-encompassing, high-quality framework for cooperation, and tangible benefits for all participating parties, deepening friendship and solidarity among peoples of various nations.

Việt Nam serves as a good model for many developing countries, UN Secretary-General António Guterres said at a meeting with President Võ Văn Thưởng on the sidelines of the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing, China, on Wednesday.

President Thưởng suggested deepening cooperation in other potential fields such as tourism, education-training, culture, religion, and people-to-people exchanges.

The forum, under the theme "High-quality Belt and Road Cooperation: Together for Common Development and Prosperity", drew the participation of more than 4,000 delegates from 140 countries and 30 international organisations.

Party General Secretary Trọng proposed that both sides effectively implemented the content of the high-level meetings between the leadership of the two parties.

INS Sudarshini is a sail training ship that is 54m in length and 8.5m in width. Since being commissioned in 2012, the INS Sudarshini has made voyages to different foreign ports including those of ASEAN countries, becoming one of the symbols of the Indian navy in promoting friendship and maritime cooperation with friendly foreign countries.

On the occasion, President Thưởng conveyed the invitation to visit Việt Nam from Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính to Hun Manet, and the Cambodian leader accepted it with pleasure.

The NA leader took this occasion to thank and ask Algeria to create conditions for the Vietnamese community to integrate into and contribute to the local society and serve as a bridge of friendship between the countries.

The PM’s visit to Saudi Arabia and his attendance at the summit, which runs from October 18-20, will help consolidate political trust and deepen multi-faceted cooperation.

Both sides should step up economic-trade collaboration which has shown robust signs in recent time, while deepening cooperation in the fields of education-training, cultural exchange, tourism and people-to-people exchanges

The Vietnamese President affirmed that the Party, State, and people of Vietnam always consider building and developing a good relationship with the Chinese Party, State and people as a strategic choice and a top priority in Việt Nam's foreign policy.
