President Lương Cường stressed that the UN should continue playing the central role in promoting solidarity, cooperation, and trust-building, ensuring fairness and justice, and realising the goals of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement, based on the principle of common but differentiated responsibilities.
President Cường affirmed that Việt Nam always treasures and wishes to strengthen multifaceted cooperation with Iraq, particularly in the areas of economy, trade, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.
President Lương Cường appreciated the efforts by those in the US in general and in New York in particular to stabilise their lives, integrate well into the host society, preserve the national identity and culture, and maintain their bond with the homeland.
President Lương Cường affirmed that Việt Nam welcomes US businesses increase cooperation and investment in such strategic fields as the semiconductor industry and the training of high-quality human resources. He called on the US Government to soon recognise Việt Nam as a market economy and remove the country from the strategic export control list.
