HÀ NỘI – Việt Nam wishes to boost co-operation with the Netherlands, to further the dynamic relations with the European nation, President Trần Đại Quang stated while hosting Dutch Ambassador Nienke Trooster yesterday.

President Quang said he is delighted at the development of bilateral relations, especially after the two countries set up their strategic partnership in water resource management and climate change response in October 2010 and signed a strategic partnership agreement on agriculture and food security in June 2014.

He suggested both sides intensify co-operation in water resource management, agriculture, energy, logistics, judicial affairs as well as collaboration between their localities.

Trooster said that her country has actively supported Việt Nam in building strategies to respond to this phenomenon in the Mekong Delta region and is also focusing on implementing its bilateral strategic partnership agreement in agriculture, with priority placed on agricultural restructuring.
