HÀ NỘI (VNS) — Việt Nam strongly condemned the terror attacks in Ankara, Turkey and Grand-Bassam, Ivory Coast, on March 13-14, which took dozens of lives and left over 150 injured.

Deputy Spokesperson of the Việt Nam Foreign Ministry, Phạm Thu Hằng, made the statement yesterday in reply to a reporters’ query on Việt Nam’s reactions to these attacks.

“We offer our deepest sympathy and condolences to the Governments and people of Turkey and Ivory Coast, as well as to the victims’ families,” she said.

A suicide car bombing at a bus stop in central Ankara on March 13 killed at least 36 people and wounded more than 120 others.

Meanwhile, gunmen armed with grenades and assault rifles stormed three hotels and sprayed the beach with bullets in the resort of Grand-Bassam, Ivory Coast, leaving 18 dead and injuring 33 others. — VNS
