HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Phú Trọng, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Việt Nam Central Committee, passed away on July 19, 2024. His life is a bright example of steadfast dedication and remarkable service to his nation.

Comrade Nguyễn Phú Trọng was born on 14 April 1944, Hometown: Đông Hội Commune, Đông Anh Ward, Hà Nội. Place of Residence: No.5 Thiền Quang St, Nguyễn Du Ward, Hai Bà Trưng District, Hà Nội. Joined the public service on 5 December 1967. Inducted into the Communist Party of Việt Nam on 19 December 1967.

August 1968 - August 1973: Editorial Staff, The Communist Review. Field training in Thanh Oai Rural District, Hà Tây Province (now Hà Nội). Youth League Secretary, The Communist Review.
September 1973 - April 1976: Research Student, Political Economy Faculty, Nguyễn Ái Quốc High-level Party Academy (now the Hồ Chí Minh National Political Academy).
