HCM CITY — Thai beauty queen Nong Poy arrived at Tân Sơn Nhất Airport on July 26, starting a two-day visit to Việt Nam.

Mrs World Peace 2017 Phương Lê received her at the airport.

Nong Poy, whose real name is Treechada Marnyaporn, was born in 1985. At a young age, Treechada desired to become a girl and decided to get surgery at 17 years old.

In 2004, she won Miss Tiffany Universal and Miss International Queen and has been one of the leading stars in Thailand’s showbusiness scene. In 2013, she visited Việt Nam for the first time to join a programme hosted by transgender singer Lâm Khánh Chi. — VNS
