TEL AVIV — Việt Nam and the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) have long served as a source of inspiration for the Communist Party of Israel (CPI) and revolutionary movements worldwide, said Reem Hazan, Politburo member of the CPI and head of its International Relations Section.

As Việt Nam prepares to mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution on August 19 and National Day on September 2, Hazan extended her congratulations to the CPV, the Vietnamese State and its people. She affirmed the Vietnamese revolution’s role as a beacon for progressive movements around the globe.

“Việt Nam’s history has shown that even a small nation can defeat imperialism, overcome occupation and oppression and defend its right to self-determination,” Hazan said, describing it as an invaluable lesson for global struggles for justice, freedom, and national independence.

On the prospect of closer cooperation, Hazan highlighted the possibility of learning from the CPV’s long-term strategic planning, which prioritises citizens’ interests and remains steadfast in its goal of building socialism. She noted this approach could open broad prospects and foster mutual support in shared struggles for peace, justice, and sustainable development.

Hazan hailed the country’s success and expressed the CPI’s belief in the CPV’s growing stature on the world stage.

She concluded by saying that under CPV leadership, Việt Nam would continue to make positive contributions to national liberation, independent economic development, and lasting peace for developing nations. VNA/VNS
