Vietnamese writers honoured for understanding of Poland

This year's contest drew 85 entrants from all over the country, including Hà Nội, Thái Nguyên, Nghệ An, HCM City, Lâm Đồng, and others, bringing in 407 entries on Wikipedia under the theme "Famous and Unknown Poles."

Orchestra composer's new work inspires young musicians

After nearly ten years, composer Trần Mạnh Hùng returned to write a petite suite entitled Thiên Thanh (Colours of Nature) for orchestra. The piece was premiered by Việt Nam Young Orchestra (VYO) last week at Hà Nội Opera House.

Classical Opera on the way

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Việt Nam and Japan, a team of talented artists from both countries has been formed to create an opera project on the real story of the love of Japanese merchant Araki Sotaro and Princess Ngoc Hoa, the daughter of Lord Nguyễn Phúc Nguyên, in the early 17th century. The play will premier in September 2023, but before that let’s learn more about the project.

Pussy galore

More than 70 furry feline contestants joined an international cat show in Việt Nam last weekend. The first of its kind held by the Cat Fanciers' Association, the paw-some event attracted cats from South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and across Việt Nam.
