French films shown at IDECAF in July

Five French feature films, including three comedies, one drama and an animation, will be presented at the Institute of Cultural Exchange with France (IDECAF) during July.

HÀ NỘI — Five French feature films, including three comedies, one drama and an animation, will be presented at the Institute of Cultural Exchange with France (IDECAF) during July.

The comedies include director Michel Hazanavicius’s OSS 117: Rio ne répond plus (OSS 117: Lost in Rio) about a French secret agent named OSS 117, Aki Kaurismäki’s Le Harve about the story of a shoeshine boy who tries to save an immigrant child in the French port city Le Havre, and Arthur Benzaquen’s Les Nouvelles Aventures d’Aladin (The New Adventures of Aladdin). They will be shown on July 2, 9, and 23, respectively.

Drama Vandal by Hélier Cisterne, about a rebellious teenager who finds his place in the graffiti-tagging scene will be screened on July 16, while the famous animation Le Petit Prince (Little Prince) by Mark Osborne will be shown on July 30.

All films will be screened at 3 pm with Vietnamese subtitles.

The institute is at 28 Lê Thánh Tôn Street in District 1. Tickets cost VNĐ50,000 and VNĐ40,000 for students. — VNS
