HÀ NỘI — A special city walk near Hoàn Kiếm Lake will be hosted by the Friends of Việt Nam Heritage (FVH) for the Tết festival.
Taking place on the 3rd day of the New Lunar Year, which falls on January 27, from 10am until 12am, the walk will start in front of the Lý Thái Tổ statue with a brief introduction to the founder of Hà Nội. As the group stroll through the streets bordering Hoàn Kiếm Lake, the heart of Hà Nội, the members will discuss legends, points of interest and stories, and touch on architecture and the French influence.
This walk is a neat compact introduction to this part of the city. The organisers hope participants will discover something they did not know before about this famous area.
Meeting point: Lý Thái Tổ statue, Lý Thái Tổ Park by the lake. Max: 10 people. Fee: VNĐ70,000 (excluding VNĐ30,000 entrance fee to Ngọc Sơn Temple).
