The Embassy of Canada, in collaboration with the Soul Live Project, will organise “A Jazzy Night” concert featuring Athésia, a Canadian-Haitian-Creole singer, on March 18.

Athésia, who writes and performs songs in French, English, Creole and Portuguese, will bring audiences a bossa nova flavour with the rhythms of tango, Latin and Creole.

The singer released her debut album Nostalgia in 2004, a mixture of fado, tango and bossa nova with a touch of electronic music. She has performed in Argentina, Brazil, Peru, China, France and the US.

In 2006, she created the band Athésia & The Gentlemen, who were invited to perform at the celebration of Francophonie Day in Argentina, Brazil and Peru in 2010.

The concert will start at 8 pm at the Soul Convention, 214-216 Pasteur Street, in District 3. Tickets from VNĐ260,000-300,000 can be purchased at bit.ly/SOTW-jazz. VNS
