HÀ NỘI — Young patients receiving treatment at the National Cancer Hospital will have a chance to enjoy a free performance at the Việt Nam National Drama Theatre on Thursday morning.

Artists from the theatre will present the drama Con Gà Trống (The Cock), written by Singaporean scriptwriter Chua Soo Pong, staged by People’s Artist Lệ Ngọc and directed by People’s Artist Anh Tú.

They want to bring joy to the patients and help them overcome the disease.

The drama will be performed at the World Festival of Children’s Performing Arts which will be held in Japan on July 30 – August 4.

The festival draws 24 art troupes around the world with 42 dramas for kids. Nine art troupes from the host country and Japan will perform 16 dramas. — VNS
