The awards include eight categories - Impressive Documentary Film, Creative Programme of the Year, Impressive Entertainment Programme, Spreading Image, Impressive Television Series, Impressive Actor, Impressive Actress, and Impressive Young Face.

Our Family Sudden Joys was a prominent television series in 2023, featuring the participation of many senior Vietnamese actors like Lan Hương, Bùi Bài Bình, Lan Phương, Khả Ngân, Nguyễn Kiều Anh and Doãn Quốc Đam.

Under two young directors, Nguyễn Đức Hiếu and Lê Đỗ Ngọc Linh, the 56-episode show tells the story of a loving family filled with laughter and tears, misunderstandings, and heartaches.

"This award is a great honour for us. We would like to express our gratitude to the audience and the professional council for recognising the efforts of our team over the past eight months. We are thankful to the cast for delivering performances that exceeded our expectations and contributed to creating a complete work. We also want to thank all the television drama enthusiasts and my collaborator, director Lê Đỗ Ngọc Linh,” said director Hiếu at the award ceremony.

The portrayal of the character Phương, the eldest sister-in-law in the film, has helped Kiều Anh win the Impressive Actress award.

Anh's character Phương is a gentle and devoted wife. She faces various hardships, as her husband fails to understand her and they encounter difficulties in having children. In the latter part of the film, Phương's life becomes better as her husband undergoes a positive transformation. The couple eventually has a child together after overcoming numerous challenges.

"I never thought I could reach this title. I would like to express my thanks to the organising board, and the Vietnam Television Film Centre for giving me the opportunity to contribute,” she said.

“Eight months acting in Our Family Sudden Joys have left me with beautiful memories, which I deeply appreciate and will always cherish,” she added.

This year’s Impressive Young Face awards honoured three individuals from different fields - Culture, Arts and Sports. They are singer Hà An Huy, director Phạm Thiên Ân, and athlete Nguyễn Thị Oanh.
