The Ministry of Culture has launched a writing contest on farmers and new rural areas  Cả Nước Chung Sức Xây Dựng Nông Thôn Mới (We build new rural areas) for amateur and professional writers.

The Bản Phủ Citadel Festival marking the 247th death anniversary of the peasant hero Hoàng Công Chất (1706-1769) opened in the northern province of Điện Biên yesterday morning.

The gold books of the Nguyễn Dynasty are on display at the Việt Nam National Museum of History. They record important events of the Nguyễn Dynasty state affairs and imperial ceremonies such as emperors acceding the throne, the crowning of princes and queens, and the recording of the inauguration of imperial titles to members of the royal family.
