HÀ NỘI — VinBrain's DrAid™ product has recently received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

DrAid™ is the first and only AI product for X-ray Diagnostics in Việt Nam and Southeast Asia that meets FDA standards. This event has brought Việt Nam into the six countries (US, UK, Israel, Australia, Korea and Việt Nam) with FDA-approved AI products for chest X-ray diagnosis.

With FDA approval, DrAid™ has been legally allowed to do business in the US. Not only will it seek a firm foothold in the US, VinBrain also has an opportunity to expand its business globally.

DrAid™, the first AI technology product for the healthcare sector developed by Vietnamese people, has achieved remarkable achievements since it began in 2019. VinBrain's medical imaging software currently owns the largest dataset in Việt Nam with 2,263,000 million images, of which 390,000 labelled images have been accepted by doctors with over five years of experience.

The DrAid™ helps medical staffs to automatically classify the 21 most common abnormalities related to lungs, heart and bone and obtain an average reliability accuracy of more than 91.2 per cent.

The product has been currently used by nearly 2,000 doctors at more than 100 hospitals nationwide. To date, DrAid™ has proven outstanding performance by saving 80-85 per cent of initial screening time and by increasing the accuracy of the image reading by up to 25 per cent when AI assists the doctors.

The product is being applied widely in hospitals in Việt Nam.

VinBrain is ready for its development plans to reach new heights by scaling up AI application solutions in the medical sector.
