HÀ NỘI — Trung Nam Group and Sany Group have signed a strategic co-operation agreement and a new contract, making total equipment investment up to more than US$100 million.
On November 7, as the first private investor of renewable energy in Việt Nam, Trung Nam received the equipment worth $67 million from Sany Group, an industry-leading global manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, port machinery, oil drilling machinery and renewable wind energy systems in the world, for its renewable energy project in Ninh Thuận Province.
The handing over of 23 modern equipment items was done under the contract signed between the two sides in May.
On the same day, they also signed another contract worth $30 million, via which Trung Nam will buy 80 crawler cranes with a tonnage of 25 - 1,250 tonnes, of which 18 crawler crane trucks with a load of 800-1,250 tonnes, equivalent to 18 lines of crane-mounted wind turbines.
Last month, Trung Nam Group inaugurated a 450 MW Trung Nam-Thuận Nam solar power farm project, a 500kV transformer station and 220/500kV transmission line in Ninh Thuận.
The VNĐ12 trillion (US$518 million) project spans more than 557ha in Phước Minh Commune, Thuận Nam District including more than 17km of transmission lines of 500kV, 220kV stretching from Ninh Thuận to Bình Thuận Province. — VNS
