VN eyes $2 bilion in cassava export on China’s import demand

HÀ NỘI — The Post and Telecommunication Joint Stock Insurance Corporation (PTI) is expecting to hit revenue of VNĐ4 trillion (US$172 million) this year.
PTI said in the first seven months of this year, its revenue reached VNĐ2.1 trillion, representing a 25 per cent year-on-year increase.
Bùi Xuân Thu, PTI’s general director, said this had been a breakthrough for the corporation with its revenue rising from VNĐ100 billion to VNĐ1 trillion in 2011, and then from VNĐ2 trillion in 2015 to more than VNĐ3 trillion in 2017, accounting for 8 per cent of the country’s non-life insurance market.
PTI ranks third position in the market and paid a dividend of 12 per cent last year – the highest among all insurance companies.
The corporation targets revenue of VNĐ10 trillion by 2025, accounting for 10.5 per cent of market share.
It now has 47 member companies with more than 13,000 agents nationwide.
PTI has been awarded the First Class Labour Medal by the Government in recognition of its performance and contributions to the insurance sector over the past 20 years. — VNS
