HÀ NỘI — Viglacera Corporation started construction of a power project and wastewater treatment facility at ĐồngVăn IV Industrial Park (IP) in the northern province of Hà Nam on Thursday.
Viglacera has partnered with the Northern Power Corporation to begin installing electricity lines and a 110/35/22kV transformer station to ensure stable power supply at the industrial park and reduceload on the 110kV ĐồngVăn transformer station. The investment capital was not disclosed.
The firm also commenced work on a wastewater treatment plant with a total investment of VNĐ24 billion (US$1.05 million). In the first phase, expected to be complete in June, the plant will be capable of treating 2,000cu.m of wastewater per day.
These projects aim to aid Viglacera’s efforts to attract major investors in electronics and high-tech areas to the IP.
Viglacera began developing ĐồngVăn IV IP in Hà Nam in 2016. Covering an area of 600ha in Kim Bảng District, the IP includes two phases. It is expected to create jobs for 500,000 workers in the province, as well as for four million people from neighbouring localities.
A year after laying the foundation stone for the project, the IP has signed agreements to host several projects from the Republic of Korea, mostly in manufacturing automobiles, refrigerators, washing machines and microwave ovens. — VNS
