HÀ NỘI — The Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam (TRAV) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) said it has received information from the Việt Nam Trade Office in Belgium that the European Commission (EC) has accepted a complaint requesting an anti-dumping investigation into copper pipes imported from Việt Nam.
If the case is officially initiated, the EC will send relevant parties documents including the complaint, the notice of initiation and investigation questionnaires.
The investigating authority is currently collecting information on Vietnamese companies exporting copper pipes to Europe.
The TRAV recommended that exporters of the products concerned submit company information to the agency, including company name, address, email, contact person and export volume and value in US dollars of copper pipes shipped to the EU in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
This will allow the authority to coordinate with the EC in providing information and guide companies in monitoring the case and preparing appropriate response strategies. — VNS
