HÀ NỘI — The Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) held the 11th ceremony to announce and honour the Top 10 Outstanding Digital Technology Enterprises in Vietnam 2024 on September 21.

The event, hosted in Hà Nội, was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Information and Communications, technology experts, and over 400 delegates, including business leaders and professionals from digital technology companies.

For 2024, the programme introduced changes in the award categories, now comprising eight groups divided into 28 fields, including a special group. The inclusion of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) standards was introduced as an added advantage for businesses practising sustainable development in their operations and governance.

After two months of nominations, the programme attracted significant interest, with 81 nominations from 56 enterprises making it to the Top 10 list of Outstanding Digital Technology Enterprises 2024. Among them, 11 companies reported revenues in the trillions of đồng.

According to statistics, the total revenue of the companies on this year's Top 10 list reached VNĐ115.469 trillion (over US$4.7 billion), employing 76,767 workers. Notably, the 11 trillion-đồng technology enterprises contributed VNĐ82.251 trillion (around US$3.3 billion) in revenue, employing 52,244 workers.

Despite global economic challenges in 2023, Vietnamese digital technology enterprises achieved impressive growth. In the software export and technology services sector, many companies saw revenue growth between 10 and 40 per cent. Standout performers included GEM with growth rates of 80-100 per cent, Techvify at 140 per cent, NTQ Solution with 37.15 per cent, and VMO Holdings with 41.33 per cent.

Companies providing digital transformation services domestically also reported positive results, with several significant government projects being awarded to companies such as CMCTS, CTIN, VNT, FPT IS, MK Smart and Mobifone. FPT Software, in particular, exceeded US$1 billion in revenue from international markets, marking a 27 per cent growth.

Ngô Diên Hy, Vice Chairman of VINASA, emphasised the sustainable development of Vietnamese digital technology enterprises, grounded in their ownership and application of cutting-edge technologies, especially AI. Enterprises with strong investments in R&D achieved notable successes, with AI products securing patents and international awards.

Following the ceremony, the list and publications introducing the Top 10 Outstanding Digital Technology Enterprises in Vietnam 2024 will be distributed by VINASA to government agencies, businesses, and organisations both domestically and internationally. The list will be available in three languages (Vietnamese, English and Japanese) and can be downloaded from VINASA's official websites. — VNS
