HÀ NỘI — Phạm Minh Tuấn won the men’s singles title at the National Tennis Championship, which wrapped up at Phú Thọ Tennis Club in HCM City yesterday.

Tuấn of Đà Nẵng beat Trịnh Linh Giang of Becamex Bình Dương 6-3, 6-4 in the final to take the title. It is the third time in a row that Tuấn has won this category.

Earlier, Tuấn was eliminated in the men’s doubles and team events.

In the mixed doubles category, Trần Thanh Hoàng and Nguyễn Từ Kim Ngân of the Military team triumphed following Lê Quốc Khánh of HCM City, who paired with Trần Thị Tâm Hảo, who had to stop the match shortly after it began due to problems with a recurring injury.

Despite boasting a great number of tennis talents, hosts HCM City left the event without any gold medals. — VNS
