HÀ NỘI — Two new websites in English and Vietnamese introducing tourism sites suitable for handicapped people have just been launched.

At https://dulichtiepcan.com/vi-vn and https://www.facebook.com/dulichtiepcan, people can find details on 22 tourism sites, eight hotels, seven restaurants, Nội Bài Airport, Hà Nội Railway Station and some bus stops in Hà Nội with facilities for handicapped people.

Legal documents on disabled people like UN’s Convention on the rights of handicapped people, the State’s project to support handicapped people in period of 2012-20 as well as necessary information for handicapped people when travelling are also available.

The sites were established by the For A Bright Future Group of the city’s Disabled People’s Association, sponsored by Abilis Foundation of Finland.

Việt Nam is still a difficult place for the disabled, with few provisions made to improve their access to public facilities. — VNS
