THANH HÓA — The central province of Thanh Hóa has launched a tour of the ancient Đông Sơn village in Thanh Hóa City’s Hàm Rồng Ward.

Surrounded by the Rồng (Dragon), Voi (Elephant) and Hùm (Tiger) mountains and the Mã (Horse) River, the village is considered one of the country’s most 10 beautiful old villages.

Having more than 370 households, the village has an architectural design of a pure agricultural village, with peaceful alleys, temples, pagodas, caves and wells.

The tour offers information about the Đông Sơn culture dating back to the peak of the Bronze Age and early Iron Age (from 400 BC to 300AD). Bronze artifacts such as Đông Sơn bronze drums, production tools, weapons and utensils have been found at archaeological sites.
