HÀ NỘI — The ComBeFIVE vaccine is undergoing quality checks and will be delivered to injection sites next week, the Drug Administration of Việt Nam announced on Monday.
ComBeFIVE will replace the 5-in-1 Quinvaxem vaccine to prevent five common, potentially fatal diseases – diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, hepatitis B and haemophilus influenza type B – in infants.

According to Hà Nội Preventive Medical Centre, the remaining stock of Quinvaxem for free vaccination is just enough to be administered in September at about 25,000 doses per month.
By the end of June, the agency asked vaccine importers to accelerate the supply of vaccines for the national expanded programme on immunisation as well as vaccination services.
Domestic vaccine manufacturers were also encouraged to foster international co-operation and technology transfer to improve the quality of Việt Nam-made products. — VNS
