HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam Fine Arts Museum on Sunday will host the exhibition Không Gian Bên Trong (Inner Space) - the first solo show by Nguyễn Duy Mạnh.

After preparing for the debut show for three years, from 2014 to 2016, Mạnh said the exhibition is a journey to discover himself, and share his experience about the “inner space”.

Born in the northern province of Vĩnh Phúc, the 32-year-old artist is currently a member of the Vĩnh Phúc Association of Culture and Art, as well as the Việt Nam Fine Arts Association.

In 2011, Mạnh won a prize at the Young Fine Arts Festival. Three years later, he was awarded a second by the Việt Nam Fine Arts Association at the Young Fine Arts Festival 2014.

Since 2012, he has used strings to create installations, which, according to him, are to show his regret for old memories.

His Inner Space show will open to the public from 5.30pm on Sunday and run until July 23. Việt Nam Fine Arts Museum is at 66 Nguyễn Thái Học Street. — VNS
