HCM CITY – Eighteen women from southern and central provinces have been chosen to compete in the final round of the Miss Việt Nam 2016 pageant in HCM City in August.
The contestants were selected over 12 others in the categories of traditional costume, evening dress and swimwear at an event held at Hòa Bình Theatre in District 1 on June 12.
Contestants from northern provinces will be chosen for the final round at an event in Hạ Long, Quảng Ninh Province on July 17.
The final round will be held in HCM City from August 14-27, with 38 finalists taking part in competitions that demonstrate their talent and charity work.
At the finale at Hòa Bình Theatre on August 27, contestants will model traditional costumes, evening dresses and swimwear. The jury will choose five candidates to take part in a question-and-answer session.
The show will be broadcast live on Việt Nam Television’s channels VTV9. — VNS
