SSI wins Finance Asia Country Award for Best Broker in Vietnam

SSI Securities Corporation was named the ‘Best Broker in Vietnam’ in 2021 at the Finance Asia Country Awards, which honours the best financial enterprises in the region.

HCM CITY — SSI Securities Corporation was named the ‘Best Broker in Việt Nam’ in 2021 at the Finance Asia Country Awards, which honours the best financial enterprises in the region.

SSI has won the award for the 10th time.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the company has made big investments in IT infrastructure and called on customers to increase the use of its online transaction channels.

It has also launched new products and features to offer customers the opportunity to invest through its diverse online trading systems.

SSI reported strong growth in the first quarter, with pre-tax profits increasing by 34 times year-on-year to VNĐ528.2 billion (US$22.9 million) on revenues of VNĐ1.5 trillion ($65.2 million).

Profits from brokerage activities increased by 276.2 per cent to VNĐ318.6 billion ($13.8 million).

It targets revenues and pre-tax profits of VNĐ5.26 trillion ($228.5 million) and VNĐ1.87 trillion ($81.2 million) this year, the latter being the highest among listed securities companies.

It also plans to increase its charter capital to VNĐ11 trillion ($447.5 million) through a share issuance to expand operations, improve underwriting, investment and margin lending capacity.
