HÀ NỘI — As many as 200 foreign delegates – including heads of the world’s leading real estate associations and developers – and nearly 1,000 domestic officials, economists and enterprises have registered for the International Real Estate Conference (IREC) 2018 that will take place in Hà Nội from September 5-7.
President of the Việt Nam National Real Estate Association (VNREAL) Nguyễn Trần Nam said at a press conference on Wednesday that the event would be jointly hosted by VNREAL and the US National Association of Realtors.
He said that the conference had become one of the real estate sectors’ biggest international events, offering a chance for associations and enterprises to meet and promote connectivity.
The event is to be held in Việt Nam for the first time after being hosted by the Philippines in 2015, the Republic of Korea in 2016 and Thailand in 2017.
According to Nam, IREC 2018 was expected to foster interaction among real estate firms, featuring participation from some of the sector’s giants hoping to inspire some of the smaller companies.
The conference is also a fantastic opportunity for firms to introduce their products and services to potential partners in various countries around the world.
During the three-day event, management officials, experts and leaders will give ideas on how to deal with the shortcomings in the real estate market in order to promote its potential and healthy growth in a sustainable manner, contributing to socio-economic development in each country.
Within the event’s framework, a conference will be held for heads of international delegations to discuss strategies and promote their influence, along with the Vietbuild exhibition.
During the IREC 2018, participants will discuss issues related to smart cities, new global trends in construction and architecture, and the legal framework for Việt Nam’s real estate market.
Nam added that the event would issue a message affirming the commitment from realtors to coordinate on a global scale, operate sustainable and environmentally-friendly business, and give more support to low-income communities by paying due attention to developing social housing. — VNS
