HCM CITY — The Việt Nam International Jewellery Fair opened yesterday in HCM City, showcasing a wide range of diamonds, gemstones, gold and silver jewellery and the latest jewellery-making equipment.
It has 200 booths, including 30 per cent by foreign exhibitors.
Besides famous local names like SJC, DOJI, PNJ, and SBJ, there are foreign jewellery companies from Italy, Turkey, India, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
The event offers local jewellery firms the opportunity to source international quality products and equipment, according to the organisers.
It also provides overseas companies the chance to explore the Vietnamese jewellery market and find partners here.
According to the organisers, the growing wealth and knowledge of consumers in Việt Nam provides strong synergies for the development of the jewellery market.
The fair, on at the Phú Thọ Indoor Stadium in District 11, is organised by the Saigon Jewellery Company with support from the city People’s Committee, Việt Nam Gold Trade Association, and Saigon Jewellery Association and expects to welcome 60,000 visitors.
