In 2024, Thanh Cao Kinoko Co., Ltd., a company specializing in import-export in Doc Tin Commune, My Duc District, had its Enoki and Oyster mushrooms recognized with a 4-star OCOP certification by Ha Noi authorities.

Leveraging advanced Japanese cultivation techniques and producing an average of 1.5 tonnes of mushrooms daily, Thanh Cao Kinoko is increasingly meeting consumer demands and aiming to penetrate export markets.

Mushrooms are notoriously one of the most challenging crops to cultivate. Despite this, Duong Thi Thu Hue, Director of Thanh Cao Kinoko Company, and her team took on this daunting task of providing consumers with a nutritious and safe food product.

Hue shared that for many years, Thanh Cao Mushroom Farm (the predecessor of Thanh Cao Kinoko Company) only cultivated indigenous Vietnamese mushroom varieties such as reishi, ear mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, straw mushrooms, and shiitake.

The production process of 4-star OCOP-certified Enoki and Oyster mushrooms involves multiple steps, from ingredient mixing to harvesting.

After years of accumulating knowledge and capital, in 2016, Hue introduced high-tech Japanese mushroom cultivation technology to Vietnam. On a 3,000 sq.m area, Thanh Cao Kinoko has built a Japanese-technology enoki mushroom factory with a total investment of three million US dollars and a designed capacity of 1.5 to 3 tonnes per day.

The company has invested in advanced machinery to automate most of the production process, ensuring high quality and consistency. By maintaining strict quality control, including using pure water for humidification, the factory has achieved a daily production capacity of over 1.5 tonnes since 2019.

The company's products are exclusively distributed to reputable retailers such as Ideal Food Vietnam Co., Ltd and the VinEco Agricultural Production Investment and Development Company Ltd and can be found in supermarkets and clean food stores in northern provinces and cities and Ho Chi Minh City.

The company's skilled engineers and workers, with extensive experience in mushroom cultivation, have successfully adapted and refined industrial-scale production processes.

Through ongoing collaborations with research institutions and experts, Thanh Cao Kinoko Company has consistently produced high-quality mushrooms that have earned consumers' trust.
