Besides that, Nestlé Vietnam also won Vietnam HR Awards 2022 in two important categories including Excellence in Employee Wellness and Best Talent Management Strategy (encompassing workforce planning and total rewards) on November 22. This is a recognition of the company’s innovative and progressive human resource strategies. At Nestlé, the people-first growth culture is the core value for the sustainable development of the company.

In addition, the company is also honored to be the only foreign-invested enterprise (FDI) to receive a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, with the title of "Typical Enterprise for Employees" in 2022.

These recognitions contribute to affirming Nestlé's position as a leading recruiter and one of the best enterprises for workers in Vietnam.

According to data from Nestlé Vietnam, currently 81 per cent of the company's workforce is Generation X and Generation Y; in addition, these two generations also account for 67 per cent of management levels. The company is considered to be an ideal destination for young talents.

Empower every employee

Truong Bich Dao, Human Resources Director at Nestlé Vietnam affirmed: “At Nestlé, people are the company’s most valuable asset and a key factor for sustainable development. That is why the company wants to ensure that every employee has the opportunity to contribute, grow and advance in the long term at Nestlé.” Despite possessing a large workforce, Nestlé always strives to motivate all of its employees, appreciating the value and potential of each person, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, nationality, religion, age and other differences.

Nestlé Vietnam has continuously recorded impressive achievements.

One of Nestlé's distinctive cultures is Respect for Differences, which is clearly demonstrated through the aspect of employee empowerment. Nestlé creates policies that offer promotion opportunities regardless of seniority or rank; a culture of experimentation and creativity that helps employees push themselves beyond their limits; opening up training, mentoring and intensive training programs that combine departmental rotation plans and an international working environment.

“At Nestlé, the opportunity for Vietnamese employees to work in senior management positions at the group’s headquarters or at Nestlé offices and factories in many countries is no longer a new concept. These workers would then return to Vietnam and hold key leadership positions, contributing to increasing the percentage of key Vietnamese leaders in the company,” Đào said.

Thanks to this factor, employees always find opportunities and the most favorable conditions to grow when working at Nestlé. In addition, with the message 'The Nest Of Choice', Nestlé employees also experience a cohesive environment, and enjoy benefits to ensure both physical and mental health. As a result, employees at Nestlé, including young generations, are ready to devote, stick with and stand by the company for a long time with the company's dedicated leadership team.

Efforts to nurture talents for a happy Vietnam

For Nestlé, giving opportunities to the young generation is not just about developing high-quality human resources for the company. Nestlé understands that the development of each employee will contribute to a healthier and happier future for Vietnamese people, giving them the opportunity to enjoy and access innovative healthcare solutions.

Nestlé Vietnam's Human Resources Director expressed: "Investing in human resources development and expanding our long-term and sustainable investment in production are our long-term commitments in Vietnam, and we will continue to do so in the future." For many years, Nestlé Vietnam has maintained policies to nurture and promote young talents. In 2022, the company invested VNĐ17 billion for training and improving professional qualifications and skills for employees.

In addition to fostering available human resources, Nestlé also focuses on creating job opportunities and training for young people across the country through annual programs such as "Lighting up Vietnamese talents”. Since last year, Nestlé Vietnam has cooperated with more than 19 universities in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as other organisations, to provide knowledge on branding and product positioning, as well as hold online career-sharing sessions for more than 10,000 students.

Regarding the recognitions from organizations and government agencies for Nestlé Vietnam, Đào said: “This recognition is the motivation for us to continue our efforts in building an optimal working environment for employees so that they can maximize their potential, enjoy rewards for their contributions to the company and be ready to join hands with the company in the journey of long-term investment and sustainable development in Vietnam.”

It can be said that over the past 25 years, Nestlé Vietnam has successfully created a working environment in which employees can maximize their potential and contribute to building a healthier, happier future for Vietnamese people.
