VNDirect Securities gets new acting CEO

VNDirect Securities Corporation (VNDS) on Wednesday appointed an acting chief executive officer (CEO), the company said in a statement.

HÀ NỘI — VNDirect Securities Corporation (VNDS) on Wednesday appointed an acting chief executive officer (CEO), the company said in a statement.

45-year-old Đỗ Ngọc Quỳnh, who has 22 years of experience in the financial-banking sector and the bond market, has taken the seat.

He is now the General Secretary of the Vietnam Bond Market Assocation (VBMA). He was also the former Director of Capital and Money Business at the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV).

The new CEO, with the board of directors at VNDirect Securities, will further improve the company's business vision, strategy, operation, management and technology for the 2020-25 period.

With highly-experienced professional and technological experts, new changes will be made and VNDirect Securities is expected to strengthen its position in Việt Nam’s securities market.

The company is among the top four securities firms with the biggest market shares in stock brokerage on the Hồ Chí Minh Stock Exchange in 2019 with a 6.81 per cent stake.

VNDirect Securities was also one of the four companies with the biggest market shares in the derivatives market with a 12.69 per cent bite.

The company estimated it has accomplished 80 per cent of the full-year revenue target and its profit would be equal to last year. — VNS
