The total volume of goods that passed through Việt Nam’s seaports has been growing despite continuous increases in container freight rates since the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ministry of Transport has just approved an investment policy to renovate and upgrade the marine fairway to ports in Nam Nghi Sơn in the central province of Thanh Hóa and the central province of Bình Định’s Quy Nhơn marine fairway with a total amount of nearly VNĐ1 trillion (US$43.5 million).

The Ministry of Transport (MoT) has asked provincial and municipal authorities to ease the travel of labourers at seaports so as to avoid the disruption of production and supply chains amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shares recovered in the last trading session of the week on improved liquidity as cash flow came back to support large-cap stocks.
