Construction, interior decoration players to compete for better businesses, social responsibility

HÀ NỘI — The Việt Nam Tennis Federation began its third tennis tournament, Hà Nội Autumn, by Việt Nam Construction Materials & Interior Decoration Industry at the National Mỹ Đình Sports Complex.

The event features nearly 300 athletes from 30 cities and provinces nationwide. They compete in six categories for men and mixed doubles of different quality levels.

A bonus of VNĐ300 million (US$11,800) will be delivered to the top-placed pairs.

"The third Hà Nội Autumn Tennis Tournament is a key sport event of the people who work in the fields of construction materials and furniture industry," said Nguyễn Hồng Sơn, VTF Vice President and General Secretary.

"It is an opportunity for for manufacturers, distributors, and agents nationwide to connect with each other, exchanging and developing their contacts and relationship for further growth. The tennis clubs have proactively used sport as a guide and motivation to improve people's health through businesses to develop sports in a sustainable way."

Workers and local residents repair a bridge in the Làng Nhì Commune, Trạm Tấu District in Yên Bái Province using money donated from the Hà Nội Autumn fund.

At the event, the organising committee also demonstrates its humane social responsibility. Part of the benefits will be used to support people in areas damaged by recent Typhoon Yagi. A donation of VNĐ100 million has already been sent and used to repair roads and bridges of the Làng Nhì Commune, Trạm Tấu District in Yên Bái Province.

The Hà Nội Autumn tournament is one of activities to celebrate the capital 70th anniversary of liberation. —  VNS
