A man died early Friday morning of COVID-19-related complications, the 51th death in Viet Nam related to coronavirus.

HÀ NỘI - A man died early Friday morning of COVID-19-related complications, the 51th death in Viet Nam related to coronavirus.
The 63-year-old from Thanh Miện District in Hải Dương Province had a long history of ailments, including severe arthritis which had remained untreated for a number of years.
In early May, the patient had been suffering from an unexplained fever for a number of months, and was eventually admitted to at Hải Dương Provincial General Hospital where he tested positive for COVID-19 on May 7.
He was then treated for pneumonia, breathing difficulties and was eventually moved to the intensive care unit.
Almost a month of treatment followed, but the man’s condition gradually worsened and tests showed he was infected with multi-drug resistant bacteria.
He died early on Friday morning. The cause of death has been recorded as septic shock, pneumonia caused by SARS-CoV-2 in patients with inflammatory arthritis and curvature of the spine. VNS
