10 new imported COVID-19 cases confirmed

Ten new imported cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Tuesday evening, bringing the total number in Việt Nam to 1,202, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

HÀ NỘI — Ten new imported cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Tuesday evening, bringing the total number in Việt Nam to 1,202, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Eight of the new cases, including a 7-year-old boy, arrived in the country at Vân Đồn Airport on a repatriation flight from Russia on October 31.

All were quarantined on arrival and are now being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hà Nội’s Đông Anh District.

The two other patients arrived from Angola on October 20. They were also quarantined on arrival and are being treated at Băc Ninh General Hospital.

Also on Tuesday, it was announced four more people had been declared free of the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,069.

At present, 14,775 people are under quarantine at home and in hospitals and centres. — VNS
