Update: March, 13/2020 - 20:37

HÀ NỘI — The Ministry of Health on Friday confirmed two new patients have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, bringing the total number in Việt Nam to 47.

Both of them are Vietnamese citizens living in Hà Nội.

The 46th patient is a 30-year-old woman living in Thanh Xuân District in Hà Nội. She was a flight attendant on a flight from London to Hà Nội on March 9.

She got a high fever and started coughing on March 10 and came to the Aviation Medical Centre in Long Biên District on March 11 for examination.

She then got transferred to the Đông Anh branch of the Central Hospital for Tropical where she was put under quarantine, then tested positive with SARS-CoV-2.

The 47th patient is a 43-year-old woman living in Ba Đình District’s Trúc Bạch Ward. She was a domestic helper who had had close contact with Hà Nội’s first COVID-19 patient, a 27-year-old Vietnamese woman who returned to Hà Nội from London on March 2.

She was put under quarantine at the Đông Anh branch of the Central Hospital for Tropical on March 6 where she tested positive with SARS-CoV-2.

The two patients are reportedly in good conditions. — VNS
