Damage to agricultural production by Typhoon Yagi

Typhoon Yagi has passed but farmers in northern regions are still reeling from the devastating loss it caused to their crops. The total damage to rice, fruits and other plants is estimated to be over $170 million, which will likely slow down the GDP growth rate by 0.15 per cent. Financial support has poured in from many countries, international organisations, and domestic businesses.
