This visit, which coincides with the 15th anniversary of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Việt Nam and China, is expected to be a new milestone in the two countries' relations.

General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President of China Xi Jinping and his spouse will make a State visit to Việt Nam on December 12-13.

National Assembly Chairman Vương Đình Huệ affirmed that Việt Nam always attaches great importance to fostering the enhanced strategic partnership with Thailand, and hopes that the two countries will soon elevate their ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership in the coming time.

The proportion of NA deputies who are ethnic minorities in recent tenures has always remained high, even higher than in People's Councils at all levels. Many officials from ethnic minority groups have held important positions in the country's leading agencies.

Senior Lieutenant General Phùng Sĩ Tấn, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army inspected preparations for and had a meeting with the steering committee on the organisation of the exercise on United Nations peacekeeping. 

Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng suggested some major orientations and measures for promoting bilateral ties to a new level.

President Võ Văn Thưởng expressed his delight that the political and diplomatic relations between the two countries continued to be promoted.

The Thai PM agreed to upgrade Việt Nam-Thailand ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership. 

The Vietnamese top legislatofr also proposed strengthening intensive and extensive economic integration and effectively implementing the "Three Connectivity Partnership" strategy, towards soon achieving a two-way trade of US$25 billion in a more balanced manner.

In the first Việt Nam visit by a Belarusian government leader in 12 years, PM Golovchenko said that Belarus appreciates the long-term ties between the two countries and sees Việt Nam as one of its priority partners in Southeast Asia.

Việt Nam has strengthened legislation to counter drug trafficking, money-laundering and other illicit activities, which are providing a more effective response to counter transnational organised crime

PM Chính briefed his guest on the history and significance of the flag tower and several other cultural and historical works, and the Vietnamese people’s nation building and safeguarding tradition.

At the welcome ceremony, the two leaders inspected the guard of honour, and visited a photo exhibition featuring the land and people of Việt Nam and Belarus, and their good relations, jointly held by the Government Office and the Vietnam News Agency (VNA). After that, the two PMs held talks.

The Belarusian PM paid a working visit to the northern province as part of his official visit to Việt Nam.

PM Chính affirmed the credit standards will not be adjusted, and proposed measures to enhance access to credit and promote the banking sector.

Addressing the event, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bùi Thanh Sơn affirmed that Việt Nam treasures and continues actively contributing to cooperation among the six MLC countries.

The Thai Senate leader said the visit of Chairman Huệ will create new momentum for the Thailand-Việt Nam strategic partnership and open up new directions for legislative cooperation between the two countries.

Chairman of Hà Nội People's Committee Trần Sỹ Thanh and Belarusian PM Golovchenko have witnessed the signing of the Cooperation Programme implementing the Agreement on friendly relations and cooperation between the People's Committee of Hà Nội City and the Executive Committee of Minsk City for the 2024-26 period.
