Soul Live Project will hold a workshop on jazz music hosted by jazz trumpeter Cường Vũ, an associate professor and chair for Jazz Studies at the University of Washington, on September 15.
Cường received a full scholarship at the New England Conservatory of Music where he received his Bachelor of Music in Jazz studies with a distinction in performance. In 1994, he moved to New York and began his career with various groups.
He won two Grammy awards for Best Contemporary Jazz Album as a member of the Pat Metheny Group in 2002 and 2006.
