Vietnamese singer brings 20,000 roses to concert in Singapore

Singer Hà Anh Tuấn introduces eight new songs and brings 20,000 red roses onto the stage of Sketch A Rose live concert in Singapore 

HÀ NỘI Sketch A Rose, a concert from singing sensation Hà Anh Tuấn, surprised audiences at the Esplanade theatre in Singapore.

The concert marks a starting point for the journey to bring Vietnamese music to theatres around the world.

Aside from famous songs associated with his name, the 39-year-old singer introduced his fans to eight new songs that were written for this concert by young songwriters.

Sketch A Rose gathered over 1,600 Tuấn’s fans and musical enthusiasts, many of whom have travelled from Việt Nam.

It was directed by Music Director Nguyễn Hữu Vượng and Orchestra Conductor Trần Nhật Minh.

The singer also surprised the audience by bringing nearly 20,000 red roses onto the stage, creating a fiery red garden. This idea was implemented by Overall Director Cao Trung Hiếu.

Tuấn, a graduate of Technische Universitat Darmstadt in Hessen, Germany, rose to fame in the Sao Mai – Rendezvous TV singing contest in 2006.

The winner of numerous awards like Cống Hiến (Devotion), Mai Vàng (Golden Ochna) and Bài Hát Việt (Vietnamese Songs) Awards, Tuấn has become a favourite Vietnamese singer on YouTube, with more than 1 million subscribers. VNS
