HÀ NỘI - LG Electronics (LG) has cooperated with Thanh Niên newspaper to organise a community programme: "Kindness of Việt Nam – The Better Life Vietnam Deserves."
The programme honours individuals who are role models in daily life, spreading acts of kindness and noble deeds.
The activity is part of LG's efforts in improving life for Vietnamese people through practical contributions to society.

The opening ceremony was held in Hà Nội on Tuesday to honour the first five individuals, with the presence of representatives from several agencies.
Nguyễn Ngọc Toàn, editor-in-chief of the newspaper, said: "With the desire to encourage each individual's good deeds and gestures, both spiritually and materially, the newspaper and LG Electronics Vietnam have agreed to cooperate in organising the programme 'Kindness of Việt Nam - The Better Life Việt Nam Deserves.'"

In 2022, LG started "The Better Life Việt Nam Deserves" to accompany generations of Vietnamese to find new inspirations, create new experiences and evoke a spirit of solidarity.
With a network of trusted agencies nationwide and a high-level committee, the newspaper will evaluate different examples of good people and conduct for the programme.
Bright role models receive rewards from LG.
In the first phase, the project recorded five cased and awarded a cash prize of VNĐ200 million (for each individual): Thái Ngô Hiếu (Đồng Nai Province), Lê Trường Hải (HCM City), Chu Quang Sao (Thái Nguyên City), Trung Văn Nam (Hà Nội) and Nguyễn Văn Dương (Hà Tĩnh). They are individuals who showed kindness through selfless actions for their community.
From saving drowning people, rushing into fires to save lives to assisting in catching criminals, the five represent a generation of brave, kind, and ready-for-action young Vietnamese.
Trung Văn Nam, who put out a fire to save a girl in Hà Nội in January 2022, said: "It is a great honour to receive the reward from LG and the Communist Youth Union of Việt Nam. Kindness is in nature of the Vietnamese, so I believe that not only me but any of us would do the same when we see people in need."
In the programme's second phase (from August to December 2022), LG and the newspaper will continue to select and honour individuals.
