HÀ NỘI — After the launch of the “Pandemic Home Physical and Mental Health Nourishment Programme,” the founding council of the Cyberspace for Community Health (CCH) has inaugurated a logo design contest for the project.
According to the Chairman of the CHH Founding Council Prof Trương Việt Bình, in June 2021, the CCH was founded to take care of the body and mind, and contribute to the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The programme also helps raise public awareness about a timely and strategic solution for the Vietnamese people in the fight against the pandemic.
CHH founding members include the Việt Nam Herbal Medicine Association, Việt Nam Yoga Federation, Hà Nội Martial Arts Association, and the Việt Nam Institute of Traditional Medicine Research and Application.
Presented in both Vietnamese and English, the CHH includes a website, an application for smartphones, and social media channels, which all will present to public up-to-date information on the pandemic, basic knowledge on physical and mental health, lectures on traditional medicine (medication and non-medication), as well as methods of mind and body practices such as meditation, yoga and martial arts.
Head of the logo design contest’s organising board, journalist Nguyễn Trường Sơn, said that the logo needed to highlight individual consciousness in improving the physical and mental health of all.
“The logo also needs to feature the programme’s slogan ‘Cure when there is no illness’,” he said.
The contest’s jury board consists of five famous artists, including the former deputy head of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions, and Editor-in-Chief of Fine Arts & Photography magazine Đoàn Thị Thu Hương.
The 20 best logos will be presented between April 10 to May 10 on four websites (cch.butta.vn, runsystem.net, vaa.org.vn and evacomglobal.com) for a public vote.
The first prize worth VNĐ50 million (US$2,200) will be given to the best logo.
Entries (soft copy) should be sent via email to logocch@gmail.com. Hard copies should be send to 144 Nguyễn Chánh Street, Yên Hòa Ward, Cầu Giấy District, Hà Nội before May 12.
An awards ceremony will be held on May 19, on the 132nd birthday of President Hồ Chí Minh.
Head of UNESCO Office and Representative in Việt Nam Christian Manhart said: “This initiative is in line with UNESCO’s strategy on culture and sustainable development. We appreciate your approach in promoting traditional knowledge to improve the quality of community life and advocate for a lifestyle in harmony with nature.”
“I hope this contest will effectively attract young people and creative design talents,” he said. — VNS
