HCM CITY – Sixty six businesses in Việt Nam have been honoured by HR Asia, a publication meant for human resource experts, as the Best Companies to Work For in Asia.

HR Asia carried out surveys in 10 Asian countries including China, Malaysia and Thailand to identify winners from each region.

In Việt Nam 308 businesses participated in this survey, which included independent research into companies with outstanding work environment and surveys of their employees to gain a comprehensive understanding of how employees or departments work with each other and their feelings about their workplace.

Interviews were also done with human resource chiefs at the participating companies to find out about their policies.

Of the 11,430 employees who participated, 78.2 per cent felt they are connected and engaged as a whole, which impacts their co-workers positively, 76.4 per cent are motivated at their workplaces and think that their work is meaningful to their companies' goals.

But only around 21 per cent felt their companies keep close contacts with former employees, value the importance of procedures and consult employees when adopting new policies or structures.
