Following the vibrant Sun Fest Street Carnival series that takes place every Saturday and Sunday night until July 24, 2022, the Take Me to the Sun music concert co-organised by Da Nang City and Sun Group will bring the city a night with music and brilliant fireworks on July 9.

Taking place on the evening of July 9, 2022, from 7 pm, at the outdoor stage under the foot of the Sun Wheel of Asia Park, the “Take me to the Sun” music concert is themed “Enjoy Da Nang Festival & Music”, sponsored and co-organised by Sun Group to turn Da Nang into a vibrant destination this summer.

With the main theme “Living as the sunlight,” the music concert is choreographed by the director Pham Hoang Nam and a team of famous names like the musician Huy Tuan. The event will also be live on VTV1 - Vietnam Television at 8pm.

The unique highlight, showing the personality of director Pham Hoang Nam, will be the stage of the concert. This will be a stage the audience will admire using the Sun Wheel – “the eye of Da Nang” as the symbolic circle for the central Sun surrounded by four large circles surrounded by silk bands with bronze drum patterns.

On the stage, the artists will lead the audience through the emotional layers of five different incredible chapters.

The opening chapter will be a cultural space of contemporary folk music, with an exceptional performance combining various types of music/performance of ethnic groups from all over the country, including Cham Dance, Bai Choi of the Central Region, Northwest Love Song, Northern Folk Song, “Ly keo chai” Southern Folk Song, showing the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people.

Chapter 2 will introduce the audience to contemporary pop music, with the appearance of famous names in V-biz, such as the singer Van Mai Huong and the group Oplus. And this will also be the explosive part of a top-notch “performance technology party” with the unique "Unveil the Sun Wheel" performance appearing for the first time at a music concert in Da Nang.

In the background, the song “Take me to the Sun” will play. It was composed specifically for the Music Festival, to complement the lighting system,  sound speakers, and bright effects from fireworks, and the LED matrix system, which can display up to 16 million colours, controlled by specialised software. It will introduce the sun symbol and Sun Wheel logo.

Chapter 3 brings Hip-hop music with the participation of Rapper Karik and the male musician, singer Only C, who will bring a youthful, fresh, and international musical atmosphere. Talented young artists and dance groups promise to give their exciting performances through many popular street art forms (Street Art) such as rap, graffiti, and skateboarding.

Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 will bring high explosive music, rock, and EDM. Towards the end of the program, the musical power is pushed higher and higher. The final chapters gather a group of artists possessing a unique and strong artistic ego with their personality, bringing burning energy according to the spirit of the festival. The stars include Tung Duong, Ngu Cung and Thu Minh, who will create a surprising and amazing experience on the “Take me to the Sun” stage.

The most explosive element and the final part of the concert will be a 15-minute fireworks display, taking the audience on an emotional rollercoaster and reminding them of the seasons of the International Fireworks Festival, which once lit up the city of the Han River in the summers before the pandemic.

The International EDM Festival is estimated to occur in August at Asia Park.

Next August, the international EDM festival will also be held at Asia Park. Vietnam - Japan Festival, B'estival Food, and Beer Festival 2022 at Sun World Ba Na Hills, the show Battle in the Kingdom of the Moon, etc. will continue to stir the summer in the central coastal city. After many quiet months, Da Nang tourism has awakened and is constantly booming.
