The Asian Football Federation (AFC) has just officially recognized PVF Youth Football Training Center as the AFC Three-Star Academy. This is the Premier Level in the quality rating scale for the young football training system in Asia.

Among a total of 46 member academies of the Asian Football Federation, there are currently 3 training academies awarded this prestigious certificate, including Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC (South Korea), Aspire Academy (Qatar) and PVF Youth Football Training Center (Vietnam). Particularly, South Korea and Qatar-based academies have been famous not only in Asia but also around the world for a long time in term of player training.

This certificate makes PVF become the first and only football training center in Southeast Asia to be recognized as AFC Three-Star Academy.

AFC highly appreciates PVF's vision of heavy investment in developing young football. For AFC, nurturing young football talents is considered to be the core factor in raising the standards of playing at the highest level.

Established in December 2008, PVF is currently the most professional training model for young players in the region. With an initial investment of up to 30 million USD, PVF was built in compliance with international standards with the world's most modern training ground and stadium system; a specialized sports science and health care complex and a comfortable dormitory system.

More particularly, the training ground and football field system includes 7 fields (1 main field and 6 standard 11v11 training fields) certified by FIFA Quality Programme for football turf. PVF owns a 360s-simulator room and PlayerTek equipment to monitor the performance of the players which is the first modern equipment in Asia.

Furthermore, PVF recruited many world-famous experts and coaches particularly including Technical Consultant Philippe Troussier - the "white witch" of Asian and African football, Technical Director Eric Abrams - the coach during the emergence of a “Golden Generation” of Belgian players. These also include many experts from developed football nations and domestic coaches with intensive knowledge about Vietnam’s young football to discover and train Vietnamese football talents.

After 12 years since its establishment, PVF is becoming one of the most successful youth football training center in Vietnam with 17 national youth championships and 9 international youth championships, etc. Most recently, PVF U19 team also won the 2020 Vietnamese National U-19 Football Championship.

Many young talents selected and trained by PVF are playing for national teams including Duc Chinh, Tien Dung, Nguyen Hoang, Van Bieu, Trong Hoa, Viet Anh, Thai Quy, Minh Di, Xuan Tu, etc. Its modern facilities make PVF become a favorite playing and training location for Vietnamese teams in addition to a treatment place for players with injury such as Dinh Trong, Xuan Truong, Van Duc, Xuan Manh, Huy Hung, etc.

AFC’s recognition of PVF as one of the three best Asian football training centers affirms the proper development of Vietnamese football by building its foundation from training young talents and developing next generation for professional player towards World Cup goal.
