71-year-old Ngô Thị Q. from Nguyễn Thái Học Ward in Yên Bái City visited the city’s health centre for a medical examination in mid-May. 

She and her family were surprised to receive the news from a doctor that she was "pregnant".

In her notes Dr Trần Thị Kim Cúc observed "idiopathic hypertension; hyperlipidemia; diabetes; and pregnancy".

Her family went with her to visit the doctor again and were informed that it had been an administrative error, plus the doctor hadn't checked the report. 

A representative from the health centre sent an official apology to the family. — VNS
