HÀ NỘI — Lý Hoàng Nam was unexpectedly eliminated from the Thailand F7 Men’s Futures yesterday in Nonthaburi Province.

The Vietnamese player, who is seeded No 5, lost 3-6, 3-6 to Italian Riccardo Balzerani in his second round singles match.

Nam was also ousted from the doubles event on Tuesday. He was in a pair with Japanese Yuichi Ito to be the No 3 seeds. They were defeated 4-6, 4-6 by Chinese Wang Chuhan and Oak Long Yeung of Hong Kong in the first round.

He will take part in the F8 event at the same venue from October 9-15. — VNS
