Hoa invited to be Irisawa’s assistant coach

Japanese head coach Hidehiro Irisawa of the national women’s volleyball team has invited veteran player Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Hoa to be his assistant, according to the Việt Nam Volleyball Federation.

HÀ NỘI — Head coach Hidehiro Irisawa of the Vietnamese national women’s volleyball team has invited veteran player Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Hoa to be his assistant, according to the Việt Nam Volleyball Federation.

Hoa is No 1 attacker for domestic club VTV Bình Điền Long An and the Vietnamese national team, but she welcomes approaches from foreign clubs, especially in Thailand.

Hoa currently plays for Thailand’s Bangkok Glass Volleyball Club under an on-loan contract. 

It is the fourth year that Hoa has played for Bangkok Glass, who championed the Thai league in the 2015-16 season.

According to Việt Nam Volleyball Federation, Hoa’s presence will help coach Irisawa to prepare for the Southeast Asian Games in Malaysia in August. — VNS
